
What fun! Lego building was one of choices that students were able to enjoy for the Behavior Reward Party at BHES.




In Maker Space, 2nd Graders contructed traps to catch a leprechaun, just in time for St. Patrick's Day.





The morning pre-k class used fine motor skills to string green pasta and shamrocks onto necklaces. We are ready for St. Patrick's Day!

BHES, BHRA, & BHJH are teaming up to help collect coins for The Dwelling Place! We need your help to meet our goal of 69,900 cents! The Dwelling Place is a hygiene and household pantry that provides free products to those in need throughout Vermilion County. Please help us!



Kindergarten registration will take place April 15 - April 30 from 9:00 am - 1:30 pm during weekdays at the BHES office.

We have been learning about dental health. Today we practiced brushing our “teeth” for 2 minutes.





First grade enjoyed learning about what animals do in the winter from the traveling naturalist.





The traveling naturalist came today! We got to see some live creatures, including a baby snapping turtle and a gecko. We even got to pet a milk snake!





Kindergarten enjoyed our time with the Traveling Naturalist program! Mr. J taught us about Vermilion County animals and how they survive the winter. We even had the opportunity to touch a snake! 🐍🦎🐢





2nd Grade enjoyed our visit from Mr. J, the Traveling Naturalist from Vermilion County Conservation District. He taught us about reptiles and amphibians in our area. He brought a skink, a small snake and a baby snapping turtle, plus we got to touch a milk snake.





Gavin is putting our new interactive number line to use by determing which two whole numbers the mixed number lies between.


Kindergarten is learning about bucket drumming this week in Mrs. Van Hyfte's music class!

It's Live Music Monday in Mrs. Van Hyfte's music room! Today, we welcomed Caleb and John from the local reggae band, Live Thru Wednesday!





Students are encouraged to wear orange tomorrow to celebrate the March pillar of Character Counts - Fairness.

From Mrs. Van Hyfte's latest Live Music Monday - Dustin Danger from Oakwood's Rebelsfare Collective came and sang, inspired, and talked about his journey being a full time musician to every grade at BHES!
