Announcements:

  • Friday is Hawaiian Day!  Wear your Hawaiian shirt!  It’s the end of summer!

  • Juniors - Class meeting during Advisory Period today!  Be sure to sign-in with your Advisory Period teacher before you report to the library.

  • The volleyball team has a game tonight at home! Come out and help us take down the Blue Devils from Villa Grove! It's Tye Dye night. JV starts at 6 and Varsity will follow!!

  • Blue Devil Golf won a dual match against Oakwood with a team total of 201. Top scores for the Blue Devils were Leighton Meeker (45), Nick Garmon (51), Colin Deck (51), & Tyson Smith (54).  Blue Devils’ next match is Friday September 3rd @ Turtle Run for the Danville Invitational. 

  • Students - If you have been vaccinated for Covid, please stop in and let Nurse Kelly know or you can email her at kstrader@bismarck.k12.il.us.

  • Students - we use QR codes all over our building.  Please make sure you are able to and know how to use them!  You can use your smartphone or your Chromebook (instructions on how to use your Chromebook QR code reader is here: https://youtu.be/WrQ2Qku7TGg).  This is extremely important because it’s how you sign-in/out of the building if you need to leave, to set up appointments with Mrs. Stephens, as well as many other things!

  • Football shirt order forms and payments have been extended through FRIDAY!  Link to print the order form: https://5il.co/xtx3.  Drop off in the office or to Coach Dodd.

  • Athletic Passes on sale now.  Individual $60 and Family $124 (includes all members of 1 household).  Send cash or check to Jenny with a list of all members in the household if purchasing a family pass.

  • The Athletic Boosters are looking for concession workers!  If this is something you are interested in, please reach out to Tony Foster at tfoster@bismarck.k12.il.us.

  • Blue Devil fans - Mark your calendars!  You'll want to be at BHRA on Saturday, September 11th as we host the Watseka Warriors and raise money for Operation Honor Guard.  We hope to see you at Payton Moss Field on September 11!  Kickoff is at 1pm.  More exciting details to come!

  • Students may not attend school if they are experiencing any of the potential COVID-19 symptoms:  Fever of 100.4 or higher, NEW ONSET of a moderate or severe headache, shortness of breath, NEW cough, sore throat, vomiting, diarrhea, NEW loss of taste or smell, fatigue from unknown cause, and muscle or body aches from unknown cause.  If the student or someone in their household is waiting on COVID-19 test results, please do NOT send them to school until results come back negative.

Community Service Opportunities

  • Bismarck Youth Football is looking for help with their home football games on Sundays.  They need help with chain gang, concession stand crew, garbage pickup and water duty during games.  If you’re interested in helping with any of these things, please contact Alicia Gonzalez at  217-299-3210 by call or text.
