Announcements:

  • Cross Country has Blue Devil apparel on sale now!  Click this link to order yours today! 

  • Congratulations to the Class Officers for the Class of 2025 - President - Devyn Owens, Vice President - Cole Crawley, Secretary - Ava Acton, Treasurer- Maya McCool

  • Juniors will have the opportunity to take the PSAT/NMSQT on Wednesday, October 13th, beginning at 8:20 am. The cost of the exam is $18. To sign up for the exam, please bring payment to Mrs. Stephens by Friday, September 10th.

  • Chess practice begins today at 3:00 in the Library.

  • The Golf bus will leave on Tuesday @ 2:00pm for Watseka.  Please dismiss Varsity golfers at 1:40pm.

  • Sophomores, if you would like to order a class t-shirt for Homecoming week they are $10. Complete the form emailed to you and bring your $10 to Mrs. Stephens or Mrs. Carpenter. Money is due Friday so we can get the shirts ordered.

  • Soccer came out on top 4-3 in a hard fought battle with St. Joe tonight. Liam Oxendine led the way for the Blue Devils with two goals. Logan Hall had one goal assisted by Kale Larsen and BHRA 4th goal was an own goal by the Spartans. Garrett Huls had 10 saves in net for BHRA.

  • Come cheer on the volleyball team and help to keep their winning streak alive tonight as they take on the Heritage Hawks at home. The theme is NEON! Wear your brightest colors! JV starts @ 6 with Varsity to follow.

  • Congratulations to the JV football team who came from behind to defeat Westville last night 20-18.  Dane Dillon scored on a 40 yard run with 40 seconds left in the game.  Enrique Rangel added the 2-point conversion to get the win.  Anderson Thomas threw a touchdown pass to Owen Miller, Ayden Ingram caught 2 passes, and Allen Brown rushed for 70 yards.  Ethan Hall had a quarterback sack.  Great job JV football.

  • The varsity football team defeated South Vermilion Friday night 61-43.  Rhett Harper rushed for a career high 239 yards and had 3 touchdowns, and caught 2 passes and added another touchdown catch.  Dawson Dodd threw for 161 yards and three touchdowns.  Senior Trent Kruse caught a 20 yard touchdown pass.  Trent Kruse’s touchdown has been nominated by channel three as the play of the week.  Go to wcia channel 3’s, facebook page to vote for Trent.

  • Pfizer Vaccine Clinic at BHRA Wilcox Lobby from 7:30am-9:30am.  First dose 9/14, 2nd dose 10/5.  OPEN TO THE PUBLIC.  No appointment necessary.  Any person under 18 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian to receive the vaccine.  See flier here.

  • Monday, September 20th, Senior Class Meeting @ 8:00am in the Wilcox Lobby.  Jessica from Jostens will be here to go over Senior announcements, Caps & Gowns, etc.  She will return on September 28th to pick those orders up.

  • Monday, September 20th, Sophomore Class Meeting during advisory period - Jessica from Jostens will be here to go over Class rings and letterman jacket information.  Meet in the Wilcox Lobby.  She will return September 28th during your lunch hours to pick orders up.

  • Picture Day retakes are scheduled for 10/18/21.  Order your pictures online at https://inter-state.com/FlyerEntry.  BHRA’s Order Code is 59137WF.

  • Blue Devil fans - Mark your calendars!  You'll want to be at BHRA on Saturday, September 11th as we host the Watseka Warriors and raise money for Operation Honor Guard.  We hope to see you at Payton Moss Field on September 11!  Kickoff is at 1pm.  More exciting details to come!

Information:

  • Students may not attend school if they are experiencing any of the potential COVID-19 symptoms:  Fever of 100.4 or higher, NEW ONSET of a moderate or severe headache, shortness of breath, NEW cough, sore throat, vomiting, diarrhea, NEW loss of taste or smell, fatigue from unknown cause, and muscle or body aches from unknown cause.  If the student or someone in their household is waiting on COVID-19 test results, please do NOT send them to school until results come back negative.

  • Athletic Passes on sale now.  Individual $60 and Family $124 (includes all members of 1 household).  Send cash or check to Jenny with a list of all members in the household if purchasing a family pass.

Community Service Opportunities

  • Bismarck Youth Football is looking for help with their home football games on Sundays.  They need help with chain gang, concession stand crew, garbage pickup and water duty during games.  If you’re interested in helping with any of these things, please contact Alicia Gonzalez at  217-299-3210 by call or text.
