Extra graduation announcements for sale in the office - $1.50/ea or 25 for $35.
Course requests for next year are due in TeacherEase Wednesday March 16th. If you have requested a dual enrollment or College Express course, those applications are due Wednesday as well.
Make-up testing for the DACC placement test is tomorrow – Tuesday March 15th at 8:15 in the library.
Spring Athletic Fees are in TeacherEase. You can send cash/check to the office or pay online through TeacherEase. Let Jenny know if you have questions.
Golf Meeting Tuesday during advisory in the Wilcox Lobby for anyone wanting to play golf this fall.
If you are interested in being a Leadership Intern for Bismarck’s Camp Invention June 27th-July 1st this summer, please see or email Mrs. Carpenter ASAP for more information. This is a super fun, high energy, hands-on STEM camp for 1st-6th graders. Leadership Interns are the right-hand-man for the instructors (Mrs. Heinrichs and Mrs. Powell) and receive 40 hours of documented community service hours for working with the younger students. Interviews for the positions will start at the end of April.

Cheer Try-Outs for 22-23 will be held on Saturday, April 9th at 10am. Practices will be Tuesday, April 5th & Thursday, April 7th from 6:30pm-8:00pm. Informational meeting during advisory period on Tuesday, March 29th for packet hand out.

DACC Foundation Scholarship application has been EXTENDED to March 21, 2022.
Last year DACC gave away $740K in scholarships and every student that applied received a scholarship!
Please go to DACC Foundation Web Page and click on DACC Scholarships, then click on apply log in and enter your username and password.
If you do not have a DACC username (have never taken a dual enrollment course) please complete the application for admission at https://dacc.edu/ar/application.
If you need your DACC user ID you can ask your dual enrollment teacher for it, or contact the Foundation office at 217-443-8893 or Foundation@dacc.edu.
All juniors will be taking the SAT test on Wednesday April 13th. To help prepare for the SAT, we are offering a SAT Test Prep course. This course will consist of 4 sessions offered on the following dates.
Monday March 14th - Writing & Language Review Session 2 5-7 PM
Monday March 28th - Math Review Session 1 5-7 PM
Monday April 4th – Math Review Session 2 5-7 PM
Students will be able to take a practice test, go over sample questions and get helpful hints on test taking.

When testing to return to school, only PCR tests are accepted. Rapid (antigen tests) are not valid.

**Updated Quarantine Guidelines as of 1/7/22** - The Illinois State Board of Education has adopted the new CDC guideline for positive COVID-19 cases. The number of days a positive case must remain in isolation has been reduced from 10 days to 5 days.
For free home COVID tests go to www.covidtests.gov The tests are expected to ship at the end of January. 1 set of 4-tests per address.

Reminder! If your student will not be attending school for the day, please make sure you call the office and let us know. Please call us by 9am each day your student is absent. (Students may not call themselves in, it must be a parent/guardian). You need to call us each day they are out.
Students may not attend school if they are experiencing any of the potential COVID-19 symptoms: Fever of 100.4 or higher, NEW ONSET of a moderate or severe headache, shortness of breath, NEW cough, sore throat, vomiting, diarrhea, NEW loss of taste or smell, fatigue from unknown cause, and muscle or body aches from unknown cause. If the student or someone in their household is waiting on COVID-19 test results, please do NOT send them to school until results come back negative.
Chromebook cases, styluses, and chargers for sale in the office. Styluses are $30 and chargers are $25. Cases are $20 new and $10 used.

The DACC Foundation Scholarship application is now open and will close March 7th. Seniors will be meeting with Mrs. Tonya Hill from the foundation next Thursday the 13th to receive instructions for completing the application. Juniors who plan to take dual enrollment courses AT DACC next year (not at BHRA - Rhet, Calc, Western Civ where tuition is waived) or plan to graduate early and attend DACC in the spring of 2023 should also complete the application.
