Both of the boys and girls Frosh track teams placed 2nd at the 10-team Watseka Frosh Track Meet last night...highlights from the meet: Amber-Christine Reed had four first place finishes in the long jump, 100 meter dash, 400 meter dash, and 200 meter dash; the 3200 Meter Relay team of Cat Luttrell, Chelsey Makemson, Madeline Thorlton, and Addie Hensold won first place as did the 1600 Meter Relay team of Maggie Lewis, Madeline Thorlton, Gabby Moreman, and Addie Hensold; many amazing performances by the girls last night as well! For the boys, Andrew Stephens won the shot put, Spencer Wall first in the discus throw, Aiden Ingram won the triple jump, Eli Godwin won the 800 and Kale Larsen was first in the 300 hurdles; the boys 1600 Meter Relay was also triumphant with Logan Hughes, Evan Cole, Aiden Ingram, and Keegan Starkey. Awesome job Teams!
Congratulations to our 2022 Prom Court: Allie Bostwick, Ava Brines, Maddie Harris, Vivi Ruffo, McKenna Smith, Nick Garmon, Ned Hill, Trent Kruse, Emerson Thorlton, and Ethan Tutwiler. Voting for King and Queen will take place during prom. One couple will be crowned at 9:30.

Spanish Club meeting on Friday May 6th at 7:30-8:10 am in Señora Frerichs room. We will be testing several comidas españolas y bebidas. We also will be playing some Bingo. Come as soon as you can and enjoy a fun start to your Friday.

22-23 Cheerleaders will meet Thursday, 4/28 during Advisory Period in the cafeteria.
If you would like to purchase a t-shirt to show your support for Landon Potter, click here. Orders due 5/1/22 at 9:00pm. If you select pickup and put BHRA Delivery in the order comments, your shirt will be delivered to BHRA around 5/13/22. Per Landon’s request, all proceeds will be donated to St. Judes.
Prom is THIS weekend! April 30th @ 8 pm, come and enjoy the Enchanted Evening. There will be a food truck on site. You have until Wednesday the 27th to get your tickets. You must be ELIGIBLE to attend. Date request forms also need to be turned in by the 27th.

POST PROM INFORMATION! Post Prom is being planned by a group of Junior Parents as it is not a school sponsored event. Post prom is open to all Juniors & Seniors (whether you go to prom or not), their dates, and prom pages. It will be held at Elevate in Champaign. See Post Prom flier here! Keep reading!
Students need to arrive at the Wilcox entrance by 11:45pm after the prom. The bus(es) will leave at midnight. Students will not be allowed to leave Post Prom. The Bus(es) will return to BHRA at approximately 6am. - Students are required to ride the bus, they may not drive themselves to Post Prom.
The first 15 students that sign-up will have their name entered in the big prize drawings TWICE! Sign-up in the office!
In order to go, students need to turn in to the office (paper copies are outside the office for anyone that can’t print them) by April 27th:

Notes from Nurse Kelly
Effective 4/19/22: We are accepting results from COVID home tests. Students sent home from school for symptoms of COVID must bring the negative test result into school when returning. If using a commercial/medical testing center results must be provided electronically, by fax, email or on paper. Students may not return to school without proof of a negative test. Nurse Kelly has a limited supply of home COVID tests available if needed.

**Updated Guidance for Schools as of 3/22/22 - The number of days a positive case must remain in isolation has been reduced from 10 days to 5 days if student has been fever free for the previous 24 hours without the use of fever reducing medication, and symptoms have improved, and student consistently masks through day 10. If unable to mask, isolate for 10 days.

Reminder! If your student will not be attending school for the day, please make sure you call the office and let us know. Please call us by 9am each day your student is absent. (Students may not call themselves in, it must be a parent/guardian). You need to call us each day they are out.
Students may not attend school if they are experiencing any of the potential COVID-19 symptoms: Fever of 100.4 or higher, NEW ONSET of a moderate or severe headache, shortness of breath, NEW cough, sore throat, vomiting, diarrhea, NEW loss of taste or smell, fatigue from unknown cause, and muscle or body aches from unknown cause. If the student or someone in their household is waiting on COVID-19 test results, please do NOT send them to school until results come back negative.
Chromebook cases, styluses, and chargers for sale in the office. Styluses are $30 and chargers are $25. Cases are $20 new and $10 used.
Athletic Passes on sale now. Individual $60 and Family $124 (includes all members of 1 household). Send cash or check to Jenny with a list of all members in the household if purchasing a family pass.
