Announcements

  • Soccer meeting at 12:30pm TODAY in the Wilcox Lobby.  If you can’t not attend, please reach out to Coach Justin Hall at 217-474-3794 or justinhall@outlook.com for summer schedules and more information.

  • Devilette Tryouts - June 8th & June 9th from 5:30pm-8:00pm.  Packets are available outside the office or can be found here: Devilettes Tryout Information   Tryout Form

  • Credit Recovery will be offered this summer June 2nd – June 30th from 8 AM to 12 PM for students who have failed a class. Students need to be signed up by May 27th.  Contact Mrs. Stephens for more information.   • Congratulations to next year's Senior Class officers.  President - Natalie Clapp, Vice President - Owen Miller, Secretary - Noah Drude, Treasurer - Hayden Rice.

  • Volunteers needed for the 150th Bismarck Celebration on Saturday, June 18th.  Available time slots from 10:00am -8:00 pm.  Sign up with Mrs. Russell.  Any amount of time that you can work is appreciated.

  • Summer Athletic Workout Schedules - Contact the coach for more information:

  • Anyone who would like to participate in the 150th Bismarck Celebration Parade on June 18th @ 2:00pm, please reach out to Mrs. Russell.  Lineup starts at 1:30pm.  Parade Flier  Parade Route

  • Spring Final Exam Schedule for Freshmen - Juniors can be found here.  Permission slips to leave early / arrive late are available on the table outside of the office (green papers).  These permission slips must be filled out and returned to the office for the student to leave early / arrive late - they should be returned once completed and signed by the student & parent/guardian.

  • Youth Summer Camps are being scheduled now!  See below for more information and links!  Students do not need to attend BH or RA to come!  Invite your friends!

  • 22-23 Dates to Remember

  • Senior class trip will be on Wednesday, May 25th.  We will be heading to Kings Island.  The bus will leave at 9am!  Students will pay $41 for the ticket - please turn money into Mrs. Tidwell or Mrs. Post by Friday, May 20th.

  • Sports physicals will be held in the MPR from 8:30-11:00AM on Thursday May 26. Eligible students are those who will be in grades 5-12 next Fall and plan to participate in a school sport. If you would like your student to participate, the forms are located on the table outside the high school office. The forms must be completed and signed by a parent/guardian and returned to school with a check to Carle for $15. Community Service Opportunities

  • From the Bismarck Men's Club: PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!!  We have so many fantastic things planned for the 150th Anniversary Celebration, but we need YOUR help to make it all run as smoothly as possible.  We are needing to fill  MULTIPLE volunteer positions throughout the day.  Whether it's an hour or all day, we will take what you can give.  Contact Klayton Finley at 217-260-8761 if you can volunteer on Saturday June 18th.

Notes from Nurse Kelly

  • Effective 4/19/22:  We are accepting results from COVID home tests. Students sent home from school for symptoms of COVID  must bring the negative test result into school when returning.  If using a commercial/medical testing center results must be provided electronically, by fax, email or on paper. Students may not return to school without proof of a negative test.  Nurse Kelly has a limited supply of home COVID tests available if needed.

  • **Updated Guidance for Schools as of 3/22/22 -  The number of days a positive case must remain in isolation has been reduced from 10 days to 5 days if student has been fever free for the previous 24 hours without the use of fever reducing medication, and symptoms have improved, and student consistently masks through day 10. If unable to mask, isolate for 10 days.

  • For free home COVID tests go to   www.covidtests.gov.

  • Our schools have partnered with Smile Illinois, the mobile dentists, to offer in-school dental care. You may sign your child up today at www.MySchoolDentist.com  or complete the attached form and return to school. Insurance is accepted, including Medicaid. For those without insurance, a self-pay option is available.

    • We are scheduled for September 15 & 16, 2022 for the 2022-2023 school year.

    • Dental Exams and proof submitted are a requirement for all Kindergarten, 2nd, 6th and 9th grade students. You may choose to have the examination done by your family dentist, or to have the examination completed by Mobile Dentists.  If you have any questions, please contact Nurse Kelly at 217.759.7291.

Additional Information:

  • Reminder!  If your student will not be attending school for the day, please make sure you call the office and let us know.  Please call us by 9am each day your student is absent.  (Students may not call themselves in, it must be a parent/guardian).  You need to call us each day they are out.

  • Students may not attend school if they are experiencing any of the potential COVID-19 symptoms:  Fever of 100.4 or higher, NEW ONSET of a moderate or severe headache, shortness of breath, NEW cough, sore throat, vomiting, diarrhea, NEW loss of taste or smell, fatigue from unknown cause, and muscle or body aches from unknown cause.  If the student or someone in their household is waiting on COVID-19 test results, please do NOT send them to school until results come back negative.

  • Chromebook cases, styluses, and chargers for sale in the office.  Styluses are $30 and chargers are $25.  Cases are $20 new and $10 used.

  • Athletic Passes on sale now.  Individual $60 and Family $124 (includes all members of 1 household).  Send cash or check to Jenny with a list of all members in the household if purchasing a family pass.
