Blue Devils Doing Good
Senior Aiden Tauer wanted to do a special volunteer/service project for October's Breast Cancer Awareness Month. With Covid rates so high volunteering was not safe. After some thought he had the idea to decorate the garden that patients look out of from the infusion room at OSF Cancer Center. Permission was happily granted by OSF.
Aiden bought bird feeders to add and a Breast Cancer ribbon rock. Danville Garden generously donated pumpkins, mums & corn stalks. We also had some beautifully painted pumpkins donated. Aiden's friends, Eric Watson & Jace Waterman (also Seniors at BHRA) helped to have a full and fun day of decorating! Aiden will keep it fresh & nice through Thanksgiving.
It looks beautiful - patients & staff have enjoyed it so much. It has brought a lot of Joy to SO many per the nurses.
Way to go Aiden, Eric & Jace!
