4/24/23 - Madison Heidrick is this week's 8th Grade Eagle Attitude winner.
Madison always comes to class with a smile on her face. She comes prepared to class each day ready to learn and have fun. Her willingness to try anything new and to work well with any students is such a great characteristic of Madison. I always enjoy her sense of humor. Keep up the great work!


4/24/23 - Haley Redenbaugh is this week's 7th Grade Eagle Attitude winner.
Haley has really started to open up in class this semester. She is participating more in class, works hard each day, and comes to class with a great attitude. Instead of shying away from a new activity she is starting to show leadership skills. She is a great student and a joy to have in class. Keep up the great work!


4/24/23 - Sarah Evans is this week's 6th Grade Eagle Excellent Attitude Winner.
Sarah has been working hard since day one of the school year! She consistently produces creative writing pieces and shows off her artistic abilities. She also makes others feel comfortable and has shown to be a trustworthy friend. Sarah has a bright future and we are proud of her!


4/24/23 - Taylar Pasley is this week's 5th Grade Eagle Excellent Attitude winner.
Taylar has worked hard to finish all her homework. She is doing an excellent job participating in class. Taylar is a great friend to all her classmates. She is always smiling. Taylar is a joy to have in class. Way to go, Taylar!

Let's Fiesta!!!! Stuco Dance this Friday, April 28th from 5-7 pm. There will be baked goods for sale. Students can pay when they walk in. Students still need to follow school dress code when attending. They will also need to be picked-up promptly at 7:00 pm.



4/17/23 - This week's 8th Grade Eagle Excellent Attitude Winner is Maci Dale.
I have enjoyed having Maci in class this year. She works hard in class and in sports. She always has a positive attitude. She is quiet in class but is self-motivated. In the last quarter, she has become more comfortable asking questions in class when she doesn’t understand or needs help.


4/17/23 - This week's 7th Grade Eagle Excellent Attitude Winner is Lili Seabaugh.
Lily is a great addition to any classroom. She is focused on doing her best work as she participates in our class. Lily is an extremely caring person. She asks to help the other students when they are having difficulty with an assignment, and she is always volunteering to help in the classroom. Congratulations, Lily!


4/17/23 - This week's 6th Grade Eagle Excellent Attitude Winner is Jordan King.
Jordan is doing a great job this year. He is always kind to everyone. Always has a smile on his face. He is very respectful to his teachers and fellow classmates. He has made great progress this year! Keep up the great work Jordan!


4/17/23 - This week's 5th Grade Eagle Excellent Attitude winner is Dean Walsh.
Dean has worked hard to make sure assignments are turned in on time. He is taking on more responsibilities in the classroom with our class jobs, and he is doing a fantastic job. Dean is always positive and has been a joy to have in class this year. Keep up the great work, Dean!


Tonight your BHJH Scholastic Bowl team fought tooth and nail, but ultimately came up short to Salt Fork by 5 points.
We are so proud of this team - made up entirely of 7th graders, for placing 2nd in the county!
Congratulations team! Next up Sectionals!

Congratulations to our 5th and 6th grade JV Scholastic Bowl team on an outstanding season! They finished the season with a record of 5-6. We are so proud of you! A special thank you to Mrs. Leigh for reading our questions during each match this season.



Congratulations to the BHJH Scholastic Bowl Team! They defeated Hoopeston and Westville to move on in the County Tournament at Salt Fork tomorrow night! Great teamwork! Way to go!

Conexxus hit a water main this afternoon. It is in the process of being repaired. We do not have a time frame of when water will be restored, however when water is restored we will be under a boil order until further notice.
