5th and 6th Grade Boys’ Basketball
It is about time for 5th and 6th grade boys’ basketball for the 2018-2019 school year. It is important to return the attached form to school by October 24th , to let us know who is interested in playing. We will need all contact and notification information so coaches can communicate with parents, if needed.
Fifth and sixth grade basketball will emphasize fundamentals and learning the game of basketball. There will be a fee of $25.00 to participate, that will be collected at the first practice in November. We have scheduled 12 games. If we have a lot of boys sign up there may be a need to make two teams. If we make two teams, they will be split evenly with each team playing half the games on the schedule. Because this is not a school sponsored sport, it will be the responsibility of parents to drive kids to and from games. Practices will be held in the junior high gym or multipurpose gym. Some games will be played at home.
We will get a practice schedule out as soon as we can. Please return the completed interest form if your son would like to participate in 5th and 6th grade basketball. Practices will begin sometime in early November. If there are any questions, please contact

Good morning everyone,
We want to thank all of our parents/families for their support during our incident Wednesday. We understand the importance of educating every child but also keeping every child in our district safe is our primary goal! I also want to send a thank you to the Vermilion County Sheriff Dept. for their quick and thorough investigation that lead up to apprehension of the person responsible for this incident! It truly is a blessing to work in the Bismarck-Henning School District! Today is a 2:10 dismissal day for BHJH! We have parent-teacher conferences tonight and tomorrow. There is no school for students tomorrow. Parent-Teacher Conferences are 8-11 tomorrow. I hope everyone enjoys their long weekend. 5th Graders are going to outdoor school next week Monday thru Thursday. Pack a sack lunch and drink for outdoor school. Have a great Thursday and a great weekend! Rusty Campbell BHJH Principal
