Today’s fun fact is: Did you know that there are six different kinds of pieces in the game of chess? There is the king, queen, bishop, knight, rook, and pawn. Each piece has their own movement pattern and capturing style. The pawn is the simplest and most numerous of all the chess pieces. They start in the front line and are usually the first to start getting captured. The move pretty slow as well because they go forward one space at a time unless it is their very first move. Their biggest strength is in numbers and if they get to the other side of the board they can change into any other chess piece.

Today’s fun fact is: Did you know that it takes about 400 cocoa beans to make one pound? About 70% of the world’s supply of cocoa beans comes from Africa. Occasionally during the Revolutionary War, soldiers had to be paid with chocolate. Although called white chocolate, it does not have a single bean of cocoa in it which would mean it’s not actually chocolate. I wonder what it’s really made of.
