Who was one of your favorite teachers growing up and why?
Mrs. Knight. She welcomed me when I was new and nervous and made me feel at home. She was warm and loving and taught in a way I understood. She made learning fun.
What is your favorite activity to do outside of school?
Watch my kids cheer/dance, read, bake with my kids, cuddle with my sweet dog, Maggie May, play games, have movie nights, and laugh with my kids. 👩👧👧🐶🎲🎞
If you weren’t doing your current job, what other job would you want to do?
I wanted to be an ultrasound technician that does baby ultrasounds. I also wanted to be an author with published books. 👶📖

I danced all my life. I performed twice at the Outback Bowl in Tampa Florida. I also was on a semi pro dance team during college. 💃

Who was one of your favorite teachers growing up and why?
This is a difficult question for me to answer because I feel like it is like asking me to pick which child is my favorite. I have admired and appreciated all of my teachers and each one inspired me to become a teacher myself and they each influenced me.
What is your favorite activity to do outside of school?
I love to have family game nights with my husband, adult kids, and grandchildren. We get pretty competitive and have a lot of fun. 🎲🎴
If you weren’t doing your current job, what other job would you want to do?
I would probably want to be a librarian because I love books, especially the feel of a brand new book. So maybe I would even enjoy working at a bookstore. 📖

Mrs. Pifer at Edison was my favorite! She taught a 4th/5th grade split class and I had her for both grades! 😀 She was kind and enthusiastic about learning. She always came up with creative activities - like learning measurement with a watermelon seed spitting contest! 🍉
